Wind Ensemble
From JPSBand
The Wind Ensemble consists of a select group of students performing the most advanced music. It has the same requirements as Freshman and Symphonic Band with additional performance opportunities such as Regional Concert Band Festivals and small ensemble performances. The ensemble meets as a class every day and members receive either Accelerated/Honors credit for the course. Students in this ensemble are expected to go on the annual Spring trip each year. The majority of these students study privately outside of school in order to perform at such an advanced level. This 2009-10 season, the Wind Ensemble is proud to annouce that 46 of its 55 members were accepted into the Central Jersey Region Band; 28 of those members were accepted into the All-State Band; 5 of those were accepted into All-Eastern Band Congratulations!
